Coyotes, Food Drive to Support The National Guardby Coyote Staff
Sports fans will be coming together to support one of the great teams in America, The National Guard. On Friday November 20th the Central Valley Coyotes will be joining Steven Philhart, aka “Barbarian”, in hosting a Thanksgiving Food Drive in support of the Fresno National Guard.
Barbarian, founder of the food drive, and his friends from the Raider Nation, “Gorilla Rilla”, “Defender” and the Bakersfield Raider Nation Club, will be in attendance along with the Fresno National Guard. Sponsors of the event include First Strings Sports, Minuteman Press, Togo’s Eatery and Baskin Robbins of Clovis. Also supporting the cause will be Cal-Fire, Central Cal Academy, Terance Frazier and the L.A. / St Louis Rams Club.
The event will be held at the Grocery Outlet parking lot in Clovis. An additional location to make contributions will be on the corners of Shaw and Clovis Ave as volunteers will be collecting money from passer byes for the cause. A preview of the event will be on the “Web” this Thursday night November 12th on www.centralvalley.com at 6:15-6:45pm.
Contributors can go to the Grocery Outlet and purchase pre-bagged items for $5.00 and anyone contributing $10.00 or more will receive a 10% Off Grocery Discount to be used the day of the event.
